Looks like the red engine James bragged about his shiny red coat one too many times. RC2, parent company of The Learning Curve, issued voluntary lead-paint recalls on Thomas the Train toys. The recalls are mostly of James and his shiny red coat of lead-paint. Surprisingly, it wasn’t Toby, as he’s always in need of a fresh coat.
After sorting through baskets of Thomas + friends, we ended up with a ToysRUs store credit. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled products were manufactured in China between January 2005 through June 2007.
