Texas Bill Still Hold’in

Texas Hold’em might be legal outside of a Texas household kitchen… one day.  Pokerati Dan spoke to Rep. Menendez  today who said the House might get to HB-222 on Monday.  I’m still baffled there are people against this bill who think its baaad, baaad.  Certainly, people tend to blame the Christians but I can assure you there are plenty of Christians in support of the bill.   The bordering States might be a better target to release frustration as they won’t mind when you take your money over the State Line.

Speaking of religion, a Judeo-Christian belief is to take care of our earth, soil, plants and animals so maybe the reason they’re against the bill is because they’re concerned of tree destruction to make playing cards.  I mean, assuming they’re even aware the rain forest supplies the majority a large portion of the earth’s oxygen but the trees are being used for more paper for us to throw away. Whoa, where am I going?  Oh right, not oxygen, I meant to say oxymoron.  You know like, it’s legal for our daughters to get naked for money but not OK to pass around some playing cards… that are now made from plastic.  Stupid.

And while we could certainly say the ol’ I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine plays a part, I’d be a hypocrite if I said I had never made a similar statement or deal myself.

Gotta run, I’m going to let my son play Lego Star Wars for Wii IF he cleans up his mess first.
