A few Americans ignored poker and the November Nine Lives to vote early for the best campaigner (McCain or Obama). But who cares about campaign platforms when there are other people to consider? Presidential campaigns are filled with "ifs and buts" and if "ifs and buts" were "candy and nuts" then everyone would have a Merry Christmas. So, follow the Sixteen Candles advice and be a smart ass rather than a dumb ass by doing some history research before clicking the ticket. You don’t want to end up like the early voters who took the time to ignore poker and were like…
"WTF? Who are all these other people on the ballot and how long will this take? Screw this… who cares about the other people because I need to make the 4pm tourney."
Uh, well… some of the names are those who slide in the sneak attack stuff onto the poor little bills stuck up on Capital Hill. So, quickly put some Janet Jackson in your head and ask your Congressman "What have you done for me lately?"
If you don’t care about Congress or the three branches cause for headache then just vote:
I’ve been debating whether to mention Obama and McCain debating and decided I needed a break from serious debates. I mean let’s face it, no matter what… things will change. We’ll either go from white to black*, male to female** or from younger-ish guy with an old back-up or to a really old guy*** with a young-female-back-up****. And still… things won’t be much better for a while unless your lucky to have a ton of gold bars under your bed.

The other not-really-a-battle going on in the world is… Joe Sebok VS Joe Reitman avatar/profile pic via MySpace. Yes, it’s true both these guys don’t care what you think, both are nice, both are in media, both play poker, both are named Joe and both hooked up with Shannon Elizabeth (formerly known as Shannon Elizabeth Dancing with the Stars).
So, when you’re feeling blue just remember there is some Joe out there willing to look silly so you can feel better about low interest rates for those who can qualify and afford to put up 80% to get a loan.
*White to Black has no negative meaning, even though I’m from the south and Allah us people from the south are totally racist.
** Male to Female has lots and lots and lots of negative meaning because I hate women and think they’re all, like, I’m soooo sure, like OMG, stupid.
***Old guy description has no negative meaning, as I’ve found older generations to be humble they have less to prove.
**** Female-back-up has absolutely, positively NO sexual meaning whatsover. Perverts.
