More than one thought, word and idea at a time...
For two years I’ve said I need a vacation. Good news, I’ve made progress…I’m now saying…I’m about to take a vacation. Which brings to mind the WPT LA Poker Classic because then I can catch most of my friends in the same place at once. Tough to do outside WSOP summer camp.
Despite several tempting Six-Handed Events, I may stick to the coffee shops. Even though I owe a few heads-up challenges.
Andrew Cimpan is probably happy he won the LA Poker Classic tournament especially with Chris “Sweet Baby Jesus” Ferguson cashing at the final table. And not too shabby were the former Girl on Girls, Maria Ho and Erica Schoenberg, cashing as well. But as Ricky Bobby (see photo) says… “If you ain’t first, you’re last.”
I’m not sure about everyone else but I do know Ho was happy about her play considering the cards she was dealt during the tournament. We had a nice chat on the bittersweet topic of… yeh, cashing is great but winning is more fun. Or something like that. You know the feeling… it’s always exciting to get into the money but then… well… it’s just not first place. Despite Ricky Bobby’s (pre-cougar) moto, we agreed that there’s always something nice about cashing a tournament with horrible cards and a constant short stack.
