Sad News in Poker

John Caldwell, loved by 99.9% (.1% reserved for liability purposes only) in the poker industry, has left the building.  Or at least the building of PokerNews.com.   

No word if Caldwell will remain in the poker industry or not but one thing is for sure, he’s a tremendous asset to any company and I’m sure he will be missed by PokerNews.

2008 WSOP: Ins, Outs & Lost Bet to John Caldwell

I’m out of the 2008 WSOP Main Event and had to pay John Caldwell five bucks for a last longest.  I don’t know what’s worse missing out on millions or paying off Caldwell in front of an ESPN camera. 

I played patiently until my last hand (famous last words) which I admit I played rather poorly.  It’s not the most impressive thing to say, but hey, let’s just call a spade a spade.  Especially when the Ace of Spades is pivotal in your exit and I’m not referring to Motorhead (see their video after the jump). It was one of those days in poker and I’m not referring to bad cards … I’m referring to situations …
