I’ve wanted to be Darth Vader on Halloween forever. It’s hard for women to find a cool costume when most Halloween costumes look like a prostitute’s wardrobe.  Reason why I call Halloween…National Hooker Day.  Disclaimer, the French Maid costume from 2007 was an experiment and went with my husband’s Marquis de Sade costume.  I won’t be wearing my usual banana or cow costume for Halloween this year. My son and I will be… Darth Vader.

I might smack anyone who asks “Why don’t you want to be the good guy?” Seriously, don’t ask this question unless you want people to think you’re the last surviving member of western civilization who hasn’t seen Star Wars.  Anakin was good but he was manipulated into the Dark Side by a smooth talker. He became dark Darth Vader because he lost his wife and kids. Anyone see that part? No? Then let me ruin the ending… Darth Vader overcomes his obstacles, saves Luke, defeats the Empire by sacrificing his own life then hangs out with Obi-Wan and Yoda for eternity. Geeze, how do people ignore something so significant?

As for covering up tonight… it’s cold outside. Besides, what women doesn’t already wear a Princess Leia Slave Costume once a week?
