Houston Cougars head to Cotton Bowl Stadium

Unless the NCAA is practicing a new SEO strategy, Penn State is playing with Cougars at the Cotton Bowl. The University of Houston, my alma mater, and Penn State are both good teams but putting those college football names together sounds like a news joke.

Case Keenum may not be winning the Heisman but he and the Houston Cougars will play Penn State on January 2 at 11:00am Central Time. Here’s a link on the Cotton Bowl Stadium game.

I took this Cougar travel trailer photo with my iPhone.  Coincidentally, I was on my way to Dallas.  Sorry, if you do not understand the joke.  I have a strict writing policy on definitions and explanations.

EDIT: To clarify, the Cougars and Penn State are playing in the TicketCity Bowl (college football’s stepchild bowl) which is played in the Cotton Bowl Stadium.  The actual game that is considered to be the Cotton Bowl is played in the Cowboy Stadium.  The Arizona Razorbacks and Kansas State Wildcats.  The Cowboy Stadium is not in Dallas.

I was a cougar when I met my husband. He was so young, he road a moped and I paid for our first date. But now… I’m loving Case Keenum who is getting a lot of Cougar love.

I haven’t been to a Cougar football game since Andre Ware won the Heisman. That was just after the University of Houston was caught paying Cougars to play football.  That was also when I was a college freshman. Fortunately, Keenum isn’t paid, just a great player. Keenum’s a humble diamond in the rough.

If you’re not a Texas Tech fan, then give some love to the Cougars tonight. Or at least tweet a “Go Coogs!”  How can you not root for a Cougar?
