PokerStars Snoop Dog Show…So Double Rainbow

michele_lewis

Every year, PokerStars has a big WSOP bash at the Palms and this year was no different when Stars chose Snoop Dogg to perform.  I knew it was going to be a double rainbow night when Benjo sent the text saying he saw a single rainbow on the 215.  Furthermore, the party was at Rain nightclub.

My makeup artist friend, Shannon Ball, offered to do my hair and makeup in exchange for some techie help so I was feeling extra girlie.   I really wanted to pass on the high heels and wear Chucks, like I did the night before at Surrender nightclub, but I wore heels.  I like wearing heels for about 20 minutes.  After that…I know longer like wearing heels.

I hadn’t seen Jennifer Leigh in two years and while we were catching up, Annie LePage had the above photo taken.  A guy took about five pics, however, where he was pointing the lens was debatable.  And judging by the front of my dress in the photo…proves I didn’t really learn anything from Benjo about posing in pictures.

And speaking of Benjo, that was about the time he disappeared into the VIP area with a group of fine lookin’ ladies.

One can only guess what Snoop Dogg was doing backstage but it felt like forever before he made his appearance.  I began contemplating leaving early because I was tired (standing in heels) from the night before (when I didn’t wear heels). And as the club seemed to grow louder, I began to feel my age.  I kept thinking about Ted Nugent’s line “If it’s too loud, you’re too old.”  But there were only three people in the club who would know who Ted Nugent was and I didn’t feel like yelling an explanation to someone who was probably only pretending to be listening.

Nevertheless, special thanks goes out to Dr. Pauly for providing excellent nonverbal entertainment.  His Snoop Dogg pre-show dance definitely impressed his girlfriend, however, Bluff Media’s Paul Oresteen’s didn’t seem as excited.  In fact, the next day his opinion on Pauly’s dance moves “I don’t really remember them.”  Watch the video with awesome music on YouTube.

BJ Nemeth, please don’t tell me to record in landscape.
