Pretty sure everyone knows the body and memory benefit from exercising, reading and Omega 3′s by now. Turns out, NBC’s Today Show reported a few more things to add to your lifestyle. Apparently, dental floss can improve your memory as well. Does this mean non-flossing opponents won’t remember your previous moves? Not really sure. Of course, it might mean they need a stick a gum. In fact, WSOP Commissioner, Jeffrey Pollack should look into Johnson and Johnson as a corporate sponsor. I would like to see a big dental floss mascot next year.
Also suggested, reading while you exercise. OK, that was cool considering I read Dan Harrington’s books twice while riding the bike every day just before heading to the 2006 WSOP. That was way before I needed my Blogger Butt Busto. And while poker wasn’t mentioned, bridge was on the list for being a social game using concentration, focus and strategy.
As you head into your 50′s… promote the nerves on the tips of your fingers by blogging on your keyboard. OK, I just made that up. I was just checking for glazed over eyes because I’m actually bored with this post but I’ve hit a Harold and Kumar point where it’s too far to go back. You know, when they’re ten feet from their front door but decide they’ve gone too far to go back to get their cell phone. Anyway, there was some interesting talk about using chopsticks, a different hand to brush your teeth to stimulate the brain. In other words, never stop learning and thinking… you might end up old and stupid rather than Yoda-Confucious-like.
Check out Today here. Quotes for the day below…
