The FTC news on blog posting has ruffled feathers. New blogging policy allow bloggers to talk trash as long as they disclose who paid for the trash talk. In other words, the blog rules allow slander blogging but require compensation disclosure. Wow, excuse me? Yes, and apparently, the new FTC blog rules are causing bloggers to panic because readers will realize they’re not experts but in fact… bloggers. Further… Bloggers fear readers will realize they’re actually sell-outs and they’re getting paid to be independent thinkers.
